Director of the Vanderbilt Cochlear Implant Program
Now accepting applications for an open-rank, full-time, 12-month position (Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor; Clinical or Non-Clinical tenure track- dependent on the candidate).
The successful candidate for this faculty position should have a Ph.D. in audiology or related hearing sciences with clinical certification (ASHA CCC-A) and eligibility for Tennessee state licensure. Preference will be given to candidates with clinical expertise in working with cochlear implants for adults and/or children; experience in administrative roles in medical settings; and experience in clinical research.
Responsibilities include clinical, administrative and research activities, as well as teaching at the graduate level and supervising graduate student clinical or research (AuD and Ph.D.) activities. For those applicants with research interests, opportunities for collaboration within the department, as well as with other VUMC and Vanderbilt University departments, are available and encouraged. The specific ratios of clinical, administrative, research, and teaching responsibilities can be negotiated based on the applicants’ experience, interests, external support, and department needs.
