
Assistant Professor, Tenure Track, Communication Sciences & Disorders, Speech-Language Pathology

About the Position:
The Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders, within the Robbins College of Health and Human Sciences at Baylor University, invites applications and nominations for a full-time Tenure Track Faculty position in Speech-Language Pathology to join our dynamic and collaborative team. We seek a scholar whose primary expertise in in child language development and disorders, with a particular emphasis in autism spectrum disorder and/or augmentative and alternative communication. Candidates with other specialties in speech-language pathology will also be considered. The position will include teaching and research responsibilities, with opportunities for interdisciplinary collaboration across Baylor’s R1 research environment. Academic rank for this position will be at Assistant Professor level.
Salary and Review Date

Qualifications: Required- A Doctorate (Ph.D./Ed.D.) in Communication Sciences and Disorders, Speech and Hearing Sciences, or closely related field is required.
- Qualified candidates should have academic credentials commensurate with an appointment at the rank of assistant professor.
- The successful candidate will be expected to continue building upon a strong track record of interdisciplinary and collaborative research, scholarly productivity, and a demonstrated ability to secure extramural funding.
- In accordance with the university’s faith mission, to be considered, applicants must show evidence of an active Christian or Jewish faith.
Qualifications: Preferred
- Experience in teaching and/or research is preferred.
- Certification by ASHA (CCC-SLP) and eligibility for Texas State licensure are preferred.
- Special consideration will be given to candidates who demonstrate a strong foundation in research, publishing, and teaching excellence in communication sciences and disorders.
