Description

The CAPCSD Annual Conference is held in various cities across the US every spring. In 2022, we return to an in-person event. Over the past 42 years, the conference has gained the reputation for being the leading site for collaborating, connecting, and exploring issues in our field for current and future administrators in Speech and Hearing Departments across the nation. The conference, based heavily on attendee feedback, is designed to offer sessions to inform administrators on hot topics, whether you are a Dean, Chair, Program Director, Clinic Director, or Faculty. We are pleased to offer invited sessions from leaders of the field. In addition, the conference receives over a hundred call-for-papers proposals, adding to the diversity and dynamic of the available talks. In 2022, CAPCSD will also include poster sessions. The conference layout is arranged to create a fun and social environment, where attendees can enjoy time to network with colleagues.


COVID-19 Vaccination Policy

CAPCSD requires that everyone attending the Annual Conference, and all related CAPCSD events at the Hilton Portland Downtown, Portland, Oregon, April 18-23, 2022, be fully vaccinated for COVID-19.  The requirement includes presenters, attendees, exhibitors, vendors, guests, and staff.

CAPCSD will not accept a negative COVID test in lieu of proof of vaccination. Participants must verify proof of vaccination through CrowdPass in advance of the conference or show their vaccination card if registering onsite. If proof of vaccination is not provided, access to the conference will not be permitted.

Time

CAPCSD Conference pre-conference events start at 8:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 20, 2022.  All conference participants are invited to the Welcome Reception starting at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, April 20, 2022 and the conference kicks off at 7:50 a.m. on Thursday, April 21, 2022.

Pricing

The CAPCSD Board of Directors is offering significant discounts for the 2022 conference registration to provide additional support for participants who otherwise might not have been able to attend due to the impact of the pandemic. 

Tiered pricing based on registration date 

  • February 1 - Feb 28, $200 discount off the regular conference price
  • March 1 - March 31, $100 discount off the regular conference price
  • April 1 - April 23, regular conference price.
